Charles Novia & Co Dragged For Calling New Actors 'Instagram Stars'
Nollywood is currently at war and it is all thanks to the comments directors – Charles Novia, Uzo Okpechi and Moses Enwang – made on Emma Ugolee’s show, The Gist.
During the last episode of the HipTV show, the discussion skirted around the new crop of Nollywood actors taking over the movie industry, and the directors blasted these new artistes, stressing that they haven’t brought anything new t Nollywood.
While Uzo Okpechi noted that the new artistes are merely ‘Instagram stars’, Charles Novia named names.
“If you put Blossom [and] OC Ukeje at the box office, and you put a different film with RMD [and] Ramsey, it is the film with RMD and Ramsey that will pull more crowd ,” the filmmaker said.
